In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Mountain View; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–2:30 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Mountain View is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Mountain View is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

It's a great vegetarian spot and really enjoyed some of the classic dishes like stir fry eggplant tofu, singapore lor mee, mapo tofu. Wouldn't hesitate to come again. Reasonably priced and plenty of parking.

I don't eat red meat regularly, so I love vegan Asian restaurants because they allow me to try dishes that would usually be made with red meat. This one is highly recommended, with an extensive menu, good food and good service. Ambience was mediocre but fine. All the meat was soy based. Every dish was of good quality, with good sized servings. Spice levels were much milder than average, so you should account for that when ordering. The best dish was Black Pepper Chicken - plenty of flavor without being overly spicy, slightly crunchy texture. General's Chicken had strong flavor and perfect texture. Mapo Tofu was quite well made, but a little bland. Same for Chicken Drumsticks. Veggie Fried Rice was near perfect. Mongolian Beef again had good texture but needed more flavor.

Fully vegan restaurant with a decently large menu! As everyone recommends, ask for spicy (even if the item is already marked as spicy). Their Thai ice tea is also really good. Don’t miss their black pepper vegan chicken (E11)!

As a vegan I was very excited to try this place. But in reality the food was very bland. We ordered 4 dishes and I only enjoyed the crispy chicken. The sauce was too industrial though. Even the chocolate cake was dry, I didn't get to try it but my kids said that my simple chocolate cake I make at home is much better. Unfortunately we won't come back but I'm happy to see that many people like the place. For reference, we all agreed that Ginger Cafe is Sunnyvale is much better. It's not a vegan restaurant but their vegan dishes are excellent. Also we came on a hot day and the AC was off, it wasn't very pleasant. I understand they want to save on electricity bill but they should at least have fans.

Very kind server and great food! I am vegan and the food is 100% vegan and delicious. I ordered the general Chow, pepper chicken chow mei. And egg rolls they were so delicious. The pepper warms you up inside. I'm glad I stopped here after my appointment!
